Vintage Star Wars C-3PO ESB 41E back MOC 1980 Kenner + R2-D2 VC234
Actually, R2 has been known to make mistakes... This lot now contains TWO (2) items.
Vintage Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back C-3PO 41-E back MOC action figure (Kenner, 1980). 2 The Vintage Collection R2-D2 VC234 MOC action figure (Hasbro, 2022). The Princess Leia MOC lot is NOT included here.
That set is posted as a separate listing. C-3PO CARDBACK: This 41-E cardback is in very good condition.
It is quite flat, with only a minor wave along the bottom edge and slight forward curl on the left front edge next to the bubble. On the front side, there is a faint curved crease reaching from the right side of the bubble to the image of 3PO's hands (see picture 6). There is also a small circular indentation at the middle of the front bottom edge (see picture 8).The right front bottom corner has a minor crease (see picture 8). Finally, on the front, on the racetrack just to the right of the ESB logo, there is very faint evidence of a price sticker that was removed at some point (see picture 9). The back of the card has just a few minor scuff marks. Minor flaws aside, this is a very nice cardback example.
C-3PO BUBBLE: The bottom of the bubble is flawless, with no crunches, crinkles, or dents. There are just a couple of spots of litho damage where either side of the bubble stand pulled away from the cardback during the manufacturing process (see picture 4). Both top corners of the bubble have significant crunching (see picture 3); however, there are no cracks or holes in the bubble, and it is still sealed all the way around. C-3PO FIGURE: C-3PO is in mint condition and has never been removed from the bubble. R2 CARDBACK: This VC234 R2 cardback is in mint condition. R2 BUBBLE: This R2 bubble is flawless.
