Vintage Star Wars Anh 1977 Vinyl Cape Jawa Figure Rare & Authentic Near Mint
VINTAGE STAR WARS: A NEW HOPE. Figure & Variant: Jawa with large eyes and a vinyl cape/cloak.
Kenner Weapon Or Accessories: Dark green transparent blaster (no bump version) and original vinyl cape/cloak. 1977 HONG KONG, Left Leg (Correct Early Markings). Condition: Near Mint, higher grade figure with nice tight limbs. The "Jawa Vinyl Cape" figure is one of the most highly sought after by many collectors. Of all the RARER figures to collect from the original Vintage figure line, this is a must have!! Some will say that no Vintage Star Wars figure collection is complete without one! This little guy comes with the first version vinyl cape, which was quickly changed to a dark brown cloth cloak early on in the production of these figures. He is becoming quite hard to find loose and especially in such EXCELLENT condition!The vinyl cape has a microscopic cross-hatch pattern on the outside and it's smooth to the touch on the inside. The cross-hatch pattern helps to identify its authenticity and can be found in reverse, depending on which way the Kenner factory put the cape on the figures. I've seen it both ways. This one has a snug fit around the arm holes with no rips or tears to them.
It's in excellent, clean condition overall with just a few wrinkles on the back around his butt area, most likely from storage. It has rich matching colour to the figure and it hangs well and will display nicely.I guarantee its authentic and original, as I've handled many of these figures over the years. The Jawa figure itself is in EXCELLENT condition with VERY GOOD paint to both hands with just a very tiny micro rub to his left hand knuckle that is hard to see. He has really nice paint to his face, eyes and bandolier strap as well. He has the correct large eyes and one of two COO (Country Of Origin) markings that a first version Jawa Vinyl Cape figure should have.
