The cockpit has a control panel and slide-out targeting computer sight. Behind the cockpit is a slot into which an R2 unit fits.

The wings open and can lock in place. The deco on the X-wing shows carbon-scoring and weathering. The fuselage, nose, wing, and laser-cannon components fasten together securely and come apart smoothly.
